This is the third Cast Earth house in Prescott, Walls by Mountain Earth Technologies. Imaged below is a continuation of the pattern from the Home Page image which linked you here. The pattern is etched in the Cast Earth by exposing aggregate in an artistic design.

This house makes extensive use of radius walls, both in the entrance area above and in the main living space. The effect is not illustrated well in photographs, but careful examination of the photo on the left will give some impression of the effect. These interior radius partitions are stepped as well a curved, and will accommodate a copper fountain when finished.
Interior examples of the rich textures obtainable with this poured mix. Pigmentation is simple and can be of many colors, or the natural earth can give the wall its own softer hue. The striations are a result of the serendipity of the pour. Each wall is different, and the result is unknown until the forms are removed. Stripping forms is much like unwrapping presents: each new wall is a delightful surprise.

A continuing frustration in illustrating Cast Earth's real appearance is the inadequacy of photography to reproduce the actual colors and textures. The material must be seen to be fully appreciated. This image catches a portion of the texture.
A nice corner in a home which is unique in design and has a breathtaking combination of colors and striations in the Cast Earth.
