1992 - Present: Invented and Developed Cast Earth

2007 - 2009 Chief Operating Officer,  Mechanical Integrity Inc. & General Manager, AGR Field Operations Inc., Houston, TX

Having been a consultant to Mechanical Integrity Inc. (MII) and its founder, John McMillan since 2003, I was asked by his estate to take over management in November, 2007, following his death in September.  The company had profits in every year but 2007, when it experienced a massive loss.  I was successful in turning MII around.  Net profit for six mid year months averaged 20%.  MII and AGR are mid and high end NDT firms.

2001-2006: Senior Business Consultant, IPA

General management consulting, specializing in mid-sized and small firms, USA and Canada


1970 - Present: Consultant to Mining & Metallurgical Management.

Consultant to various clients including technical, economic and environmental evaluation of processes and projects. Intensive expertise in high pressure leaching, solvent extraction, electrowinning. Built and operated several pilot plants and assay laboratories. Founding member, Pegasus Gold and California Nickel. Strong personnel evaluation and supervision abilities. Computer and internet literate. Six patents issued.


1976 - 1990: President & CEO, NICAL Developments.

Managed public mining corporation, and directed exploration and metallurgical process development for $300 million nickel-cobalt laterite project, and similar ventures in Southeast Asia. Assumed management of troubled firm, raised interim financing, and located acquisition group. Developed low cost, clean, high pressure acid leach for laterite ores. Conceived novel aluminum solubility suppression chemistry which reduced estimated capital cost by $10 million; revised water supply system to reduce cost by $19 million. Experienced in SEC and NASD compliance.

1970 - 1972: Manager of Product Development, SEC Corp, El Paso, Texas.

Invented and patented the solvent extraction/electrowinning process for nickel. Built and operated plant using SXEW process to recover nickel and copper from a copper refinery waste stream. Produced the only domestic commercial electrolytic nickel in the USA.

1966 - 1969: Assistant Controller, Bahamas Chemical Division of Syntex Corporation, Freeport, Bahamas. Production Supervisor, Arapahoe Division of Syntex Corporation, Boulder, Colorado.

Responsible for financial and cost accounting and reporting, and systems design at new steroid pharmaceutical synthesis plant. Solved process chemical problem which had shut down the company's entire production of its principal anti-inflammatory steroid. Supervised shift of operators during startup of new fine organics plant at Arapahoe, prior to assignment to Bahamas.
