In late spring, 2001, Mountain Earth Technologies

of Prescott, AZ, poured a large home of about 6,500 sq. ft. This structure called for some of the most rigorous and difficult forming and placing yet done using their Cast Earth knowhow. The image from which you linked to this page is an indication of some of the intricacies which were handled. The following image perhaps conveys this in greater degree:

When design challenges of the nature of the preceeding illustration are encountered, Cast Earth offers several options. The mix can be pumped into place, or dumped from a bucket on a front loader. In this case, however, the Mountain Earth practitioners chose to use the crane and bucket method:

With each project, new techniques are developed, joining the internal knowledge base which is a part of the total Cast Earth technological package. At the same time, new advances in mix design are under study and being readied for introduction. This is a growing technology which started as a highly buildable system and is evolving under the watch of those of us who undertand its nature and its future.
