Greeley, Colorado, Late 1999

The first Cast Earth home outside of Arizona is being constructed in a joint venture between Cast Earth Licensed Affiliate Mountain Earth Technologies, and Earth Homes Inc. of Greeley. An impressive set of walls are now in place which are yet another interpretation of the varied application of the Cast Earth artform.

These walls are the first use of nonrectilinear openings -- note the arches and the circular window. Other architectural features are apparent in various images.

This niche has now seen use in several of these homes. In this case, the color striations are particularly interesting. As with all such embellishments, they are one-of-a-kind which will never be exactly duplicated.

This is the home page image from which you linked to this page and a different view of the same set of features in the top image. Often, the viewer's impression of Cast Earth is in large part a function of the light and angle at the time of viewing.

A window to the future of homebuilding? Certainly a link to the pre WWII past when fine earth homes were common residence choices.
